Virtual Meeting - August 23, 2021

Show and Tell is back, after a brief vacation. No, I didn't go anywhere. I just slowed down for a couple of weeks.

If you would like to enjoy some lovely art quilts, the Studio Art Quilt Association has posted the 469 small art quilts they will be auctioning online in September. They are quite wonderful.

Now on to our own works of art (also quite wonderful).

Diane Hart has completed a twin size quilt. She made her binding two sided since the backing is white.

Helen Anderson has completed another quilt top from the ones she was asked to finish for friends in Florida.

Johanne has made herself a knitting bag. It has room for her yarn bowl and project.

The inside has pockets for her reading glasses, her leather thimble, crochet hooks, needles, and loops for stitch markers.

Judy Case has a new granddaughter, Phoebe Rose, born Aug. 10, and this is her quilt.

I saw this pouch on someone's blog last week, and decided it was a good way to use up some charm squares I had in my stash.

It was a quick project that used nine charm squares. I received a sample pack of 9 squares at the AQS show in Syracuse. Obviously, they have aged long enough. The lining is a scrap.

MaryAnn took part in a quilt along from Zen Chic designer Brigitte Heitland., based on her pattern, "Spring in Paris".  MaryAnn used some oriental fabrics from her stash to make this wall hanging.

As I said, all quite wonderful.

Our next Show and Tell will be September 13. Until then, enjoy the last days of summer!
