Virtual Meeting - July 2022

I received a couple more pictures, so we will have a mini show and tell.

First, I thought you might get some inspiration from the winners at the Juried Show at Quilts Canada, last month.

There were some interesting quilts in this years show.

Now to our own creators!

First we have Barb Sharp-Bond. Barb has completed her Canada 150 Applique quilt. Barb quilted around the blocks and Krista did some custom quilting in the blocks.

I was asked recently if it is okay to send projects that are not yet quilted. Of course it is. I even welcome pictures of projects yet to be sewn. Beth Marshall sent a picture of a quilt that is almost started. I think it is gorgeous.

Helen Anderson has finished another charity quilt.

I took a trip to BC to celebrate my Mother in Laws 90th birthday. I made some hand sanitizer pouches to give as hostess gifts. Who doesn't like a touch of Tula Pink.

Sophia sent us pictures of the baby quilt she made for a friend. It is very sweet and reversible!

I know that summer has everyone out in the garden, or off on vacation, so our next show and tell will be August 8. Perhaps we can see some projects that you have planned for the fall. Or a quilt top, waiting for the perfect backing.

Meanwhile, enjoy summer. Here is a picture of my two favourite men, plottong out their morning on the beach.
