Wow, it is starting to feel like we might actually get spring. Last week's snow wasn't really something I wanted to see, but yesterday, the flowers were blooming, the birds were singing, and I had my coffee, outside!
Thanks to the ladies that sent us pictures, this month. I hope next month that we can see some show and tell from a couple of people we haven't heard from lately. Don't be afraid to email or call me if you need some help getting the pictures to me.
Anita starts us off today. Her first picture is a table runner made from some fabric leftovers from another project.
Her second picture is a picnic blanket made from her 1 1/2" strips collection.
Diane Hart was doing some paper piecing construction, and built a cute little house. Unfortunately, there has been some damage to the roof, so she is currently awaiting a construction crew to make repairs.
Diane also finished this wall hanging that is awaiting a bit of quilting.
Helen Anderson had some technical difficulties sending her pictures, last month, so she sent us double this month.
First are the two quilts she completed in Florida and sent to the foster care program, there.
For this month, she has a couple of baby quilts.
Jan Pound made this quilt from a Bonnie Hunter Leaders and enders pattern. It was quilted by Krista.
The next two are blocks she made for the Kanata Quilt Guild's community projects. She says that novelty blocks aren't usually her style but she enjoyed these chicken blocks.
She says the pinwheel blocks were a good way to use up florals and complimentary fabrics.
I started this bag in March of 2020. and it got lost in a flurry of mask making. The embroidered denim is a "vintage" piece from my stash.
Of course, I couldn't resist adding some kitties as a surprise in the pocket.
I also asked Maggie Ziehl to embroider a design for me, suitable for a tooth fairy bag or pillow. After trying a couple of ideas, I finally decided on a zippered bag, to use the embroidery.
With inflation on the rise, I figured it needed to be big enough to hold a $20 bill! I had to add a special label to the inside.
