Virtual Meeting - July 20

Welcome to our "meeting". Glad you are all here.

I came across an excellent article on using your "precious" stash. We all have them, the purchases that are just too wonderful to use. This might help.

https://blog.tincanknits.com/2020/06/25/three-tips-for-using-your-precious-stash/

If you want to see any of the pictures larger, you can click on them.  Clicking on the arrow in the top right corner will bring you back.

A few of you took me up on my suggestion that you show us some Christmas in July.

Doreen sent pictures of 2 of her Christmas Quilts.

Some Poinsettias, in wonderful colours.

And a McKenna Ryan design.

MaryAnn sent us her Christmas Quilt.

And Pat Nyenhuis sent her Tree Skirt. She says there are 24 sheep, 3 shepherds, 2 Wise Men, the Holy Family and a cat.

Now to the rest of Show and Tell.

Anita is still using up her scraps. The first is from a quilt she made a long time ago.

And the second is from two bed runners she made when she had her B&B.

Barb Sharp-Bond made 2 quilts for Victoria's Quilts.

The second is entirely made from her scraps.

Christine Welsh was asked to make a teddy bear from a baby's onesie. She says it was a challenge.

She recommends putting interfacing on the fabric, first.

Diane Hart put loops on the back of this one so it can be used as a wall hanging or a table runner.

Janice Pound made this wool wall hanging for her sewing space.

Joy finished her quilt, "Moon Rising". It was a course at the Kanata Guild, last October.

Kate made a reversible bucket hat for her grandson. Nothing says summer in Canada like moose paddle boarding and bears cooking salmon on the barbeque.

Marilyn shows us the reverse of her April Cornell napkin quilt from a previous show and tell, along with a coordinating cushion.

The companion Log Cabin quilt, in a barn raising setting.

And detail of the custom quilting.

MaryAnn made shorts for her grandchildren, and added pockets, because everybody needs pockets in their shorts.

Nicole made two quilts for Victoria's Quilts. These are from blocks that Anita made.

Thank you to everyone who shared their pictures, today.

Our next Show and Tell will be in 3 weeks, on August 10.

Kate you are doing an outstanding job keeping Poole Creek Quilters together. Your comments added to the quilts shown are terrific. Thank you so much for doing this for us.
