Virtual Meeting - January 18, 2021

Well, things have changed again. We are back where we were when I started doing this. Thanks to everyone who took the time this week to send pictures. I am sure it will brighten many members' morning!

If you enjoy watching videos, Mary Fons has a new YouTube video blog, that she calls "The Quilts Will Go On". If you are looking for something to keep you entertained in your sewing room, you might want to check it out.

Now, enjoy the lovely pictures for this week.

First is Doreen, with her wonderful Northern Sunbonnet Sue. I believe she got the patterns from a quilt shop in Alaska.

Joy sent this great painting she got in rural Saskatchewan.

Joy also sent a wall hanging, she made in a workshop at the Pickle Dish (remember in-person workshops?). This was the first time she added beads to her quilt.

Kate took part in the Project Quilting Mystery QAL. You were suppose to have your wall hanging done by January 3, but mine should be finished tomorrow, when I finish sewing down the binding (during our meeting time.)

Liz made this baby quilt for a friend who is expecting her first grandchild, soon. Her friend chose the fabric and Liz made the quilt.

Marilyn calls this quilt "Winter Trees".

MaryAnn made her granddaughter a Disappearing Nine Patch quilt, for Christmas.

She also made a matching pillow with a horse and rider, because her granddaughter loves to ride.

Pat Nyenhuis took a walling hanging panel and turned it into a set of placemats and a tablerunner.

I heard the other day that making fiber art can give us some of the "micro touches" that we miss during a lockdown. So dive into your stash and make something.

Our next Show and Tell is February 1.
