Virtual Meeting - Sept. 27, 2021

I see that fall has brought out the quilts, and we have some nice ones today.

First, my tip of the day:

Have you cleaned you machine lately? It runs so much better when it has been cleaned and all the lint is gone from under the bobbin. Change the blade in your rotary cutter if you really want to celebrate a new season!

On to Show and Tell:

Anita says she bought this kit from Connecting Threads, ages ago, and has finished the top.

This quilt top has been waiting for border fabric and she found some on a recent trip to Cornwall and Ron's Fabrics (I miss Ron's).

Anita is now waiting for some rainy weather so her husband will quilt them!

Dianne Watchorn made this quilt based on an image she saw online.

Dianne made this quilt from a pattern from GE Designs called Hey, June.

Helen made these two quilts for the first responders in the area of Florida where she winters.

Last time, MaryAnn showed us her version of "Spring in Paris". This time, we have Jan Pound's version. It is always interesting to see how a quilt changes depending on the choice of fabric.

Krista quilted Jan's quilt.

I decided I needed a new bag for fall, so this is Money Bag. The pattern is by Ujamaa Bagettes from Calgary.

It is a great little bag that can double as a wallet for running errands, since it has card pockets on the inside.

Kathy Panagapko says these are her spring and summer projects but I don't have any other information.

Liz made a rag quilt for a friend who was diagnosed with cancer.

She also made a bag to go with it.

Aren't those projects wonderful? If you have a finish that you would like to share, please send pictures. We love to see everything you are doing.

I hope you don't mind, but I am going to skip the next Show and Tell, which would be next week. so our next Show and Tell will be October 18.

Kate
